Vanderhoof has been my home since 1988, I came here originally to work in the agricultural industry, but a change in career brought me into the real estate business back in 1993.
In 2006, my wife, Marilyn and I, purchased the office and Royal LePage Home Central was born. Vanderhoof is both a beautiful and friendly community and we feel truly blessed to live in such a lovely area.
Hiking, travelling, rock concerts, gardening and walking our dogs are just a few of the pastimes that we enjoy.
I was told many years ago that "Vanderhoof will grow on you" - how right they were. So come and visit our town, you'll certainly be made welcome.

My name is Britt Yorston, I recently decided to take on the new exciting career of Real Estate. I have worked for the Provincial Government for the last 18 years as a GIS Analyst but decided I needed a change and start a new chapter in my life. I chose real estate because I have always been interested in houses that would come up for sale and the great renovations that people do to improve their investment. I really wanted a career that involved working with people and something that gave me an opportunity to get out from behind a computer.
I was born in Terrace, B.C. and moved to Prince George when I was entering high school. I went to D.P. Todd Senior Secondary and earned my diploma in Engineering Graphics and Design at the College of New Caledonia in Prince George. I have worked for the Ministry of Forests, Lands and Resource Operations in Vanderhoof ever since. I moved from Prince George to Cluculz Lake in 1996 and recently moved to Vanderhoof in 2008.
I am married to Ken and have 2 great daughters, Jessie 12 and Sammy 8. We enjoy camping, boating and visiting around the campfire at our cabin at Cluculz Lake.
I am really learning a lot in this exciting field of real estate and I love every minute of it. I grew up in the small town of Topley, BC, moving to Burns Lake for my high school years. After completing high school, I moved to the city of Prince George where I worked in the driving industry for many years. I started in a logging camp as a gravel truck operator, then moved on as a driver instructor teaching people how to drive. From there it was a natural progression to working for ICBC, serving Prince George and surrounding area where I road tested new drivers as well as re-tested current drivers. It was here that I was able to see much of our beautiful area, meeting many fantastic people. It was also where I found my true passion, real estate.
Just shy of ten years ago I began investing in rental investment properties. I have continued to expand my investment property portfolio while enjoying passing on my knowledge to family and friends. Many have since chosen to invest in the real estate market in rental investment properties. My passion in real estate has always been there.
